A little Pre-Halloween fun

 We led up to Halloween with days of Pumpkin decorating, leaf raking, and a trip to the Blank Park Zoo for a little early Halloween candy.

The boys take a break from the Hawkeye game  to decorate their pumpkins.

Then it was time to jump in the leaves!

Sunday brought a trip to the zoo with 2 Iowa football players and Scooby Doo!

Cole's First Field Trip

In October, Cole got a chance to take his first school field trip.  The brave teachers and chaperons visited the Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch with 20 toddlers for some cider, story time, and hay ride.

Cole's favorite thing to do now is to take a ride on the bus!

Well, they weren't the Hawkeye's, but Cole made it to his first football game, arena football at that.  He loved the cheering and yelling though the popcorn was the biggest attraction of the night.

A visit from the South

The summer was full of fun trips and gatherings.  Uncle Tim, Aunt Lynda and Evan came up for a visit in July expecting to get out of the Texas heat.  The joke was on them as we had a week of 100 degree temperatures.

Nothing caps off a visit to Iowa like a visit to...

 

We ended their visit with a night at the ballpark.  While the Iowa Cubs lost, Cole and Evan made the most of it by singing "I like to move it, move it" at the top of their lungs.  Crowd chatter is crowd chatter, right?
