Baby-proofing begins

Cole enjoyed an appetizer of dirt followed by a lovely vegetarian entree. Yum, leaves!

Of course, bathtime followed shortly after

Game day

Anxious for his first Hawkeye football game, Cole mustered up the strength to learn how to stand up in his crib for the first time. Needless to say, some of us missed the game as we were busy lowering the crib.

It's Summertime!

Cole had a great time this summer at Nana Sally's and Papa's house on Lake Okoboji.

Let me out; I'm ready to play!

Cole and his cousin Griffin enjoy some family bonding/bouncing moments.

Always ready for a photo op., Jack steps in to the fun.

Cole made his debut this summer at Okoboji. The ladies loved his toned, muscular abs and pasty look.

Just for fun

Peek-a-boo

"Did someone say walk?"

Yeah!!!!!

"Say cheese"

ready for bed

Play time!

We enjoyed a Sunday walk to the park where Cole tried out the swings for the first time...

"I think I like this!"

"Hey Jazz, give me a push."

Rick's trip to Washington

A beautiful view of the vineyard at Walla Walla.

Does our insurance cover this?

Besides the fantastic wine and great food, one of the highlights of the trip was four-wheeling from vineyard to vineyard.

The game room at Canyon Ridge Vineyards.

A Quick Boji Visit

We had a short stay in Okoboji this weekend as we went to celebrate Brian and Afton Hunziker's wedding. No lake time, but we'll have plenty in the upcoming months.

Jazzmine the navigator. It makes back-seat driving that much more fun!

"Wake up, Jazz. I don't know where I'm going!"

Even though we were only in Okoboji for 24 hours, it seemed to wear out half of our group.

A quick cuddle with Nana Sally in our Boji attire: khaki and navy.

Paxton the dog

In May we dog-sat for Paxton the minature dachshund. He and Cole became fast friends and could be seen cuddling together from time to time.

Introducing...Solid Foods!!

While the first couple days of "real food" were rough, Cole is now asking, nay begging for seconds. He'll be ready for Iowa corn in no time.

On a side note, Cole has decided that 'sweet potato eyebrows' are the next new fad, and Jazzmine's love for Cole has doubled as she realizes how tasty some of these flying foods are. Who needs a Swiffer?

What the...

We still don't know what this look means, though we see it often. Nevertheless, it makes us smile and we can't wait 'til he starts talking to give us a more in depth understanding of this look.
