A visit from the South

The summer was full of fun trips and gatherings.  Uncle Tim, Aunt Lynda and Evan came up for a visit in July expecting to get out of the Texas heat.  The joke was on them as we had a week of 100 degree temperatures.

We ended their visit with a night at the ballpark.  While the Iowa Cubs lost, Cole and Evan made the most of it by singing "I like to move it, move it" at the top of their lungs.  Crowd chatter is crowd chatter, right?

Sailing the High Seas

The Okoboji Yacht Club had a 'mommy and me' day with sailboats, bubbles, face painting, and games.  Lance and Ann Avery made the day complete by braving the waters with a group of toddlers.

Water basketball has replaced water polo this summer.  Clothing optional.

Blank Park Zoo

Cole met up with Henry and Eddie Kennedy for a little zoo time.  The petting zoo and fish pond seemed to be the favorite of the day.

Easter

The artist in Cole appeared this spring with Easter egg dying with the Boesen's and a new paint set from the Easter bunny.  He may be the next Picasso!

Balloons were the best gift of all! 

A happy smile on the 2 year old just moments before his party started.  Then, one whoosh down the hill and he was done for the day.  Apparently, Cole is a snow-hater like his mother.
