The Pumpkin Patch and Night Eyes

We kicked off Halloween with a visit to the Pumpkin Patch... Who needs sand? Only in Iowa can you find fun in a corn bin.

We took Cole to Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo and he made some new friends

After leaving the slide, Cole was treated to an ice cream sandwich. Apparently, he felt that he needed some alone time and walked by himself to find the perfect place for a snack. We apologize to all those families taking pictures who now have an unidentified frog lurking in their family photos.

Arnold's Park

Cole had his first experience at Arnold's Park this summer and while the rides were fun, I think the best part of his day was the corn dog. We met up with lots of friends and had a great time!

Days of Summer

Nothing beats a popsicle on a hot summer's day!

Iowa State Fair

We took a trip to the Iowa State Fair where Cole got to see the lambs, horses, cows, pigs, etc. However, I think Cole's favorite part of the day was sampling all of the fair food.

Summer fun in Texas

We piled in the car and took a trip to Dallas in July. Yes, Texas in July.

Cole had great fun with his Texas cousins while learning how to swim in Aunt Beth's and Uncle Jon's pool. Dinner poolside finished out the evening and the smiles were a great indication of how much fun everyone had despite the heat.Cole, Michael, Evan, Avery, and Tanner

No, this is not how we transport our children. Of all the toys in Tim and Lynda's house, the greatest fun was hiding in the dog's cage!

Bridges Bay

Cole had his first experience at the Bridges Bay waterpark in Okoboji this summer. It was impossible to get him out of the water at times unless it was to run up to the pirate on the wall to yell 'arrrrr!'

Ready for the Zoo

I think Cole is officially ready to visit the zoo this summer. Judge for yourself as he runs through his array of animal sounds. If anyone knows what an Octopus sounds like, give Cole a call.
